Six weeks ago I took delivery of the Philips Airfryer and was tasked to review it. Little did I know that I was about to be turned into a chef of note! After the first meal I have visions of celebrity chef television programmes, Michelin stars and a very happy family!
Whilst we are not a culinary family, we have been known to cobble together some brilliant meals and with a love of gadgets, we couldn’t wait to try it out. Not shy, the first meal was to be roast chicken, roast potatoes and vegetables…… I lie, there were no vegetables.
There is no need to be daunted by this amazing appliance as there is an App – which I loved! – with enough recipes to get you going on your trial runs. There are tips and tricks on how to use various parts of the appliance and then the videos which are short and to the point that help you get started.
After looking up what temperature and what the recommended length of cooking the chicken should be, I prepared the chicken with herbs and spices, cut up the potatoes and popped them into the airfryer.
Thirty minutes later, no mess no fuss, we had a delicious roast chicken and roast potatoes.
The Philips Airfryer was declared a winner and we went off to search on the UCount rewards page if we had enough points to buy one.
