I really liked using the Sony Xperia X1A that we had on review recently, it is the perfect phone to have on hand as a blogger. It has a borderless design which means that you are viewing your images or video on an edge-to-edge screen and the camera is great, I’ll quote the technical stuff from the press release so we don’t get anything wrong.
When it came to taking pictures, they were always clear. Don’t laugh, but I do sometimes battle to get pics in focus when taking them quickly – multifocal glasses and a camera lens usually cause issues. But because this camera takes images in 0.6s and because of the Hybrid Autofocus that is fast and accurate, I didn’t experience my usual issue.
Don’t get me started on taking selfies! This camera has you covered with 8MP, 23mm wide-angle lens, you can even take a great group selfie. The Xperia XA1 Ultra also has a 16MP front camera with Optical Image Stabiliser to get rid of the handshake! Finally, there is a selfie flash to illuminate your face.
The only thing that worried me was the size of the phone for making calls – but with everything else, that would be easy to overcome.
